Choice of springs (rigid and mild) dictate the speed of door closure and the minimum flow velocity at which doors open.  Compact, low priced, calls for replacement of spring set from time to time.  Both flanged and wafer designs as per API 594, PN 10/ PN 16 are available.

MODERN Slanted Seat Non Return / Check Valve (450 - 800 NB)

Essentially a double flanged butterfly type of long body with a high degree of eccentricity between the trunnion and the valve center line, a generously proportioned inclined metal seat in body and an accurately profiled metal face / elastomer seal in disc, ensure leak tight closure. A counter weight & lever and /or a dampening arrangement may be required (optional) depending upon the duty.

I Tilting Disc Non Return / Check Valve (600 - 2000 NB)

An Aerofoil like door ensures minimal drag and a high lift with increased flow velocities (up to 5 m/s) and on pump trip, closure of door before the water column can recede. The inclined metal seat (almost 30°), a generously proportioned, profiled face ring on door ensures drop tight closure.
